Commencement, Tai Chi. Awareness to the major energy points of the body:
This is the first Move from the Wu Chi Position Its an important move as it sets the mood, determins the pace, and the level of knees from the floor.
You are moving from nothing (Wu Chi) to something (Tai Chi). It is a simple
movement, not to be taken lightly.
Starting from Wu Chi Stance
Starting from Wu Chi Stance. Feet firmly grounded.
take your time to get relaxed,
(Sung – which means relax with a sense of inner firmness)
Move to Horse Stance
Concentrate on your lower Dan Tien
(situated just below your belly button), and let your breath be directed to this area.
Lift the top of the head and open the Bai Wei point so as to connect Your Yang energy to the universe
Turn the palms to face the rear and Soften the elbows
Try and Feel as if something is trying to push your palms forward but don't let this happen You are now ready to begin
When you inhale, bring up the yin energy from the earth, up through the Yung Chuan point, Bring down the Yang energy from the Universe and let both energies meet in Dan Tien.
As you exhale, send this chi down to the Hui Yin point at the bottom of the pelvis, then up the spine to the Da Tzui point at the base of the cervical vertebrae, down the arms to the Lao Kung in the center of the palms. When all these points are stimulated and the energy is connected, you are ready to begin.
1) When you raise the arms concentrate on the wrists.
Inhale and the two arms will seem to float up (Imagine you are drawing energy from the earth let this energy be drawn up through the spine and into your aura)
to the level of the chest.
Keep the hands relaxed.
Keep the elbows drooping or pointing
downward.
Do not raise the shoulders.
dont forget to Concentrate on the wrists.
When you lower the arms
The elbows should start to sink as if there
were weights attached them.
As this happens, the hands will start to fill, and the fingers extend with energy.
Keep the elbows in front of the body.
Never let the elbows get behind the body.
The hands Should be parallel to the ground.
You should Concentrate on the elbows as they start sinking.
The hands Come down until they reach the level of the lower Dan Tien. When the hands reach the lower Dan Tien,
squat down until the knees are just over the toes. the knees are in the same direction as the .
Keep the spine straight.
Concentrate on the base of the spine pushing downward and
the top of the head pushing upward
