There have been Many World Disasters,

We have seen too many world disasters over the years. Many were caused by people - wars, terrorists... Others are sometimes referred to as "acts of God". It's very difficult to rank them because there are different ways of defining "worst" (some would just count the dead, others would include the injured, still others would measure in terms of the amount of dollars required to repair the damages, or somehow calculate the damage to the environment...) and there are different ways of defining "natural".

I am trying to compile a list of Charites that are involved in these World Disasters if you are a charity or organisation that would like a free listing then Please Contact me.

Haiti, Earthquake Appeal 2010

On Tuesday 12th january a disastrous Earthquake struck the beautiful country of Haiti. Tens of thousands are feared dead and countless people still remain buried under rubble in the impoverished country. For those who have survived there are fears over the supply of food, water, shelter and medicine.

The Disaster Emergency Commission constitutes 13 humanitarian charities that respond to international disasters, sending medical, food and shelter aid to areas of the world stricken by natural and man-made disasters.

A good way to donate

The single will split all proceeds 50/50 between DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee) and The Sun newspaper's "Helping Haiti" appeal. Prime Minister Gordon Brown had pledged to waive VAT on the single.9Lets hope the new Government keeps to this) Not less than £1 from the sale of this CD and 100% of any profits Amazon makes from this single will be divided equally between Disasters Emergency Committee (registered charity no 1062638) and The Sun's "Helping Haiti" Fund. Monies paid to The Sun's Helping Haiti Fund will be paid directly to a charitable trust set up for The Sun by the Charities Aid Foundation (registered charity number 268369), and all monies received by that trust will be paid to registered charities to help those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.
